Raini Charuka Gunathilaka

Sri Lankan famous singer and musician Rookantha Gunathilaka and singer Chandra Lekha’s daughter Raini Charuka Born on the 10th of April 1991 has released her new music video. “Sanasila” song has been penned by Nandana Wickramage and music and melody is by Rookantha Gunathilaka. This beutiful music video has been directed by Tehan Perera for Hello Studio.

Raini is currently studying in an American university and despite busy university life and going all around the world with her parents for musical shows, Raini finds time to release a song each year. Raini earlier released two music videos along with Gayan Perera and Chinthy and they were very famous among Sri Lankan music fans.

As of then, she has been featured in many of Rookantha's songs and Jingles to Radio Channels such as Sirasa FM and Brands such as: Prima, Damro, X-Tra, Kicks, Wrigleys, Lotus, Lanka Soy, Munchee, Nivaaran, Indra Traders, etc...

She launched herself as a Singer with the Hit Single:- " Neela Kandugate" in October of 2009, with her co-singer/friend- Gayan Perera who is also known as the leader of the Band 'Daddy' and the son of the famous singer Sunil Perera.

In the year of 2010, Raini acted in her first Movie 'Sinhawalokanaya- The Cricket Film 2011' by 1st time Director- Suneth Malinga Lokuhewa and plays the character 'Samadaree', the main female role in the movie.

She has also acted in many Stage plays since the 2nd grade upto now; Off-Broadway/Broadway Shows in the U.S.
Her ambition is to become an Aviator ( Commercial Pilot ) and be successful in whatever she might undertake in life.
